SCHOOL VISITS / INCURSIONS
For over 10 years Archae-aus has held archaeology incursions and talks in after school and holiday programmes, primary and secondary schools. We offer students the opportunity to learn from professional, Australian-trained archaeologists. Our sessions cover many different aspects from the National History Curricula. We are West Australian heritage specialists, and our staff are experienced internationally and we can teach European, Near Eastern and Asian archaeology.
Our incursions range in price from $10 to $40 per student depending on the activity and the length of the incursion.
We have taught over 3000 children across the Perth Metropolitan area. Incursions have been held 30 schools and education centres such as Scitech, Mt. Lawley SHS, Corpus Christi College, Presbyterian Ladies College, Frederick Irwin Anglican School, Willeton Senior High School, Guilford Grammar OSHC, Wanslea Weybridge OSHC and Kent St High School.
Please contact us if you are interested in a booking (firstname.lastname@example.org or ring 08 9433 1127).
Archae-aus publishes books on Australian cultural heritage with our first book published in 2015 with the financial backing of Fortescue Metals Group and a grant from the Australian Government’s Your Community Heritage Programme.
We also produce fact sheets and case studies on Australian archaeology. A few examples are listed below.
